Little Sprouts Returns to Smith-Gilbert Gardens November 7 and 10 |
The monthly toddler program turns to fall leaves, with music, story time and leaf rubbings for ages 0 to 4 |

Toddlers and their grown-ups can spend a fall morning among the leaves at Smith-Gilbert Gardens when the monthly Little Sprouts program returns this month. The November session runs Saturday, November 7, and Tuesday, November 10, from 9:15 to 10 a.m., according to the City of Kennesaw's event listing.
Little Sprouts is built for children ages 0 to 4 and the parents, caregivers or other adults who bring them. Each month brings a new theme and a new story, and the morning blends music, movement, play and story time into a short, toddler-sized outing.
What the fall leaves session coversThis month's theme is fall leaves. Children explore the different types of leaves growing around the Gardens and make leaf rubbings. When the guided portion ends, free play continues at the Imagination Station and the Living Laboratory garden area, so families can linger if the little ones are not ready to head home.
The program is held at Smith-Gilbert Gardens, 2382 Pine Mountain Road in Kennesaw. The booking page says it moves indoors in cold or rainy weather. The session lasts only 45 minutes, leaving time for a stroll through the Gardens afterward during regular hours. |

Cost and how to sign upThe city's listing says Little Sprouts is included with Garden admission. According to that listing, family-level members and above attend free, and adults with a SNAP/EBT card pay $3, while children are free. The Gardens' ticketing page shows general admission, Tuesday through Saturday, at $10 for adults and $5 for children 3 to 17, with children 2 and under and members free. It notes that only cards and mobile payments are accepted, not cash.
The Little Sprouts booking page, however, shows a $0.00 order summary and no listed price, so confirm what your family will pay before you go. Registration runs through the event's ticket page. You can reach the Gardens at 770-919-0248 or info@smithgilbertgardens.com.
Plan your morningThe Gardens are open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., so both November sessions fall inside regular hours. Because the program starts at 9:15, plan to arrive a few minutes early with your tickets ready.
The city lists Little Sprouts as part of the Museums for All and Georgia Kids Belong programs. The Gardens' website shows a Museums for All logo but does not spell out the policy, so call ahead if reduced-price access matters to your family.
Other toddler options this monthFamilies looking for more can check the city events calendar. It lists Toddler Tuesday on November 3 and November 10 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., and Mommy & Me on Thursday, November 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Open each listing for the location, or call the city at 770-424-8274 to confirm before heading out.
If this month does not work, the booking page lists future sessions, each offered on a Saturday and the following Tuesday: Evergreen on December 5 and 8, Winter Weather on January 2 and 5, and Trees on February 6 and 9. The Gardens' events calendar has the latest listings. |
