Election Day is Tuesday for Kennesaw voters in the November 3 General Election and Special Election. Advance voting ended Friday, October 30, so anyone who has not voted yet must go to an assigned polling place on Tuesday, November 3. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., according to Cobb County Elections and Registration.

Find your polling place first

Cobb County's advance voting flyer is clear that on Election Day voters must go to their assigned location. Unlike early voting, when any site in the county would do, there is no choosing a convenient spot on Tuesday. The county directs voters to Georgia's My Voter Page, run by the Secretary of State, to look up an assigned polling location, check registration status, and pull up a personalized sample ballot.

Kennesaw residents who used the advance voting site at the Ben Robertson Community Center on Watts Drive should not assume Election Day works the same way. That site was one of the county's advance voting locations, and the county's flyer lists it only for early voting. Look up your own precinct before you leave home.

Stonecrest voters head to the polls Tuesday, November 3, for the General Election and Special Election. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and anyone already in line at 7 p.m. will be allowed to vote, according to a reminder from DeKalb County Voter Registration and Elections, reported by On Common Ground News. Early voting ended October 30, so Tuesday is the last chance.

Confirm where to vote

Election Day voters need to go to their assigned precinct, and the county's elections page tells voters to visit DeKalbVotes.com to confirm a polling place before heading out. Georgia's My Voter Page also shows registration status, polling location and a personalized sample ballot.

The county has published a notice of polling location changes for this election. The On Common Ground News report names two moves, for the Lavista Road precinct and the Cross Keys High and Woodward precinct, both in other parts of DeKalb. Stonecrest voters should still check their own precinct, because a quick lookup is the only reliable way to rule out a change. Do not assume your Election Day precinct is the same building you used for early voting.

What to bring

Voters must bring acceptable photo identification to vote in person. The On Common Ground News report does not list which IDs qualify, so check the Secretary of State's voter information before you leave. Georgia's rule is photo ID for in-person voting, according to the DeKalb County School District's voter FAQ.

Reviewing a sample ballot ahead of time can shorten your time in the booth. The county provides one on its elections page, and the school district notes that the sample ballot lists the special election questions on page 4.
